How to Resize an Image
Drop or select a JPG, PNG, WebP, or GIF image. Choose a resize mode: enter exact pixel dimensions, scale by a percentage, or pick a common preset. Select your preferred output format, then click Resize. Preview the result and click Download to save the resized file. You can adjust the settings and click Resize again at any time to iterate without re-uploading.
Resize by Dimensions, Percentage, or Preset
Dimensions mode lets you enter exact pixel values for width and height. Enable the aspect ratio lock to keep proportions intact; changing either value automatically updates the other. Disable the lock to stretch or squish the image freely.
Percentage mode scales both dimensions proportionally. 50% halves the image, 200% doubles it. Values above 100% upscale the image; the preview will note when upscaling is applied.
Presets provide one-click access to common sizes including HD, Full HD, 4K, and square crops. Clicking a preset fills the Dimensions fields and switches to Dimensions mode so you can fine-tune from there.
Which Format Should I Save As?
JPG is best for photographs and images with gradients. It produces smaller files but does not support transparency. PNG is ideal for screenshots, graphics, and images that need a transparent background. WebP is a modern format that is smaller than both JPG and PNG at comparable quality, supported in all current browsers. Original preserves the input format with no conversion.
Why Use a Browser-Based Image Resizer?
All resizing happens via the browser's built-in Canvas API; no file is uploaded to any server. The tool works offline once the page has loaded, adds no watermarks, enforces no file size limits, and requires no account. Your images stay on your device throughout the entire process.
